THE COFFEE

Bavyevi coffee is curated and sourced with a homage to Jeanine, JNP Coffee Founder's family roots in Burundi. Her mom worked the coffee fields in Busiga community where Jeanine met coffee. Majority of Bavyevi coffee is women-grown and you may be able to taste the depth, diligence and resilience in the cup.

THE PEOPLE

Bavyevi is a nod to Jeanine’s roots and family in Burundi. It means “parents’’ in Kirundi and it is grown in the region where Jeanine’s family worked in coffee farming. The producer group consists mostly of women farmers and they do an outstanding job with selective harvesting and diligent processing the beans.

THE IMPACT

JNP has established the “Dushime” program for their producer group partners which provides quality consulting, lot selection, marketing to JNP’s buyer community, and end-of-year premiums. Bavyevi has joined JNP family through Dushime program. Since then, the producer group has increased their living income by improving their green coffee quality and expanding their access to different markets.
