Venture into the mountains of Ethiopia to discover Bombe, a tiny village and home to Bombecoffee. With some of the highest elevation farms in the Sidama region, cooler weather causes the coffee plants to mature slowly, yielding a more complex flavor. Here, farmers employ a selective picking practice, harvesting only ripe red cherries. Though more intensive, it means each sip you take of Bombe is exceptional. Expect florals, chocolate, and berries in the cup.

Tucked high up in the mountains, Bombe village is removed from nearby urban towns and villages. Many farmers there have garden farms, which are typically between 7 and 9 acres in size and situated behind their homes. Bombe Village shares its name with Bombe Mountain, located in Sidama, one of Ethiopia’s major coffee-producing regions.
Daye Bensa’s out-grower programs allow local farmers in Bombe to sell their coffee cherries and earn a fair price while ensuring people around the world get to experience the beans. By providing second payments for the coffee, Daye Bensa helps boost farmers’ annual income and improve local access to healthcare, education, and utilities. The company also partners with schools near the farms to provide learning materials for students.
